British Airways has apparently asked thousands of its UK staff to work for nothing, for between a week and a month, to help reduce costs that have caused BA to post a loss of £401m in May 2009. The hope is that the collective effort will restore BA to the top of the tree. I do hope that the busy summer holidays and a lack of paid staff do not present more of the same old problems.
